Hey guys. It's been long!
Let's see..
hmm went over to Meleka with my family on the 12th 13th and 14th of decemeber. Had really good authentic Hainanese chicken rice balls! YES BALLS! The rice are rolled into balls and with the tasty chili and chicken, OOoo lala. Pigged out during the 3days trip. Didnt do much except eat and shop. And probably, more slacking at the hotel. Wanted to swim, but poor me, no one in my family wants to. Due to the nyonya craze on channel 8, we had to satisfy our cravings for peranakan food too lol. I didnt know chendol originates from the peranakans. My dad, sis and I tried some "authentic nyonya chendol" from an old school coffeeshop along the street. There's something so good bout the gula meleka and coconut milk blending together. Add in the green jelly thingy and the red beans, mmmm, simple yet tasty. The best part? It does not have attap seed unlike those in singapore. I hate attap seeds man. It's the most digusting food on earth.
Anyway, wont be spending my christmas in singapore this year. Going to Malaysia again. This time to Fraser's Hill, together with my cousins' family and my family of course. Will be heading there tomorrow. Guess there's much to pack again tonight.
( Dan, if you see this, I wont be able to go for Jon's dinner thingy. )
It will be one long ride. 7 hours!
When I come back, there will only be a week left before dreadful school starts.
And the cycle of heaven and hell begins.
I went home - to the kallang river - on sunday morning.
Kayaked with Daniel and Kunshan. It was really funny to bump into so many of our dragonboat mates on the water. Interesting, they were all kayaking too. 2 of them were dragonboating with some other team though. It's the dragonboat off season right now, so there's no training. But it sure shows that if you love the water, any kind of watersports will do.
Nothing feels as good as the salty breeze and the waters surrounding you.
Home is where the heart lies. :)
